Description
The Wamakariri Sailing Club was founded in 1928 and sails on the lower reaches of the Waimakariri River at Kairaki.
The club caters for sailors of all abilities from national champions to casual weekend sailors and learners. Learn-to-Sail courses for beginners followed up by formal and informal coaching.
Club boats of several classes are available for hire during club sailing days.
New members are always welcome. Our mission: To promote sailing to all ages within the community by creating an environment that fosters friendship, participation and achievement.
Committee meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 7.30pm.
