The Mander Awards are supported by the Canterbury Yachting Association as our prime opportunity to recognise excellence and dedication to the sport of Yachting in Canterbury.
To facilitate the education of Cantabrians in boating skills by the provision of information and by financial assistance to programmes for education:
Clubs will be asked to nominate projects for financial assistance that comply with the objects of the Mander Yachting Trust. The dates for which nominations close will be the 1st days of April, August, and December in any one year.

The Mander Yachting Trust has an awards dinner each year to recognise outstanding performance of sailors and helpers over the season
The Mander Trust has pleasure to invite Canterbury Clubs and Class Owner groups to nominate worthy sailors and volunteers for awards in the following categories:
If a person thinks they have a nomination to offer, this can be done by approaching your club and have it nominated this way.
Canterbury Senior Dinghy Sailor of the Year.
Canterbury Trailer Yacht Sailor of the Year.
Canterbury Keelboat Sailor of the Year
Canterbury Youth Sailor of the Year
Canterbury Junior Sailor of the Year.
Canterbury On-Water Administrator of the Year.
Canterbury Off-Water Administrator of the Year.
Canterbury Club Coach / Instructor of the Year
Canterbury Club Event of the Year.
Canterbury Crew Member of the year.
We will this year have a special category to recognise other functions of our sport.
Voting will be on the night by attendees, the finalists will be added to judging panel results.
